Who we are

Lookout Labs Limited is the controller of your personal data for this website. We are registered in England and Wales, company number 17526300. Our registered office is 33 Woodlands Drive, Hawarden, Deeside, CH5 3LA, United Kingdom. You can contact us about privacy at daniel@lookoutlabs.uk.

This policy covers this website only. The AyeAhead app will have its own privacy policy before it launches.

No cookies, analytics or tracking

This website does not use cookies. It has no analytics, advertising or tracking tools, and no contact forms. It does not load fonts, scripts or other content from third parties.

Server logs

Our hosting provider, Netlify, Inc. (USA), receives basic technical data when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the page you asked for. Netlify processes this data for us as a processor, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. It may process this data in the United States, relying on transfer mechanisms recognised under UK data protection law. Netlify keeps these logs for a limited period under its own retention policy. We do not use this data to identify you.

If you email us

If you email us, we receive your email address, your name if you give it, and anything you write. We use this only to read and reply to your message and to keep a record of our conversation.

Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in replying to people who contact us (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). If your message is about a contract with us, the basis may also be Article 6(1)(b).

Our email is provided by Google Workspace, which handles it for us as a processor. Google may process data outside the UK. Where it does, it relies on transfer mechanisms recognised under UK data protection law.

We do not sell your data or use it for marketing. We keep emails only as long as we need them for the reason you contacted us, or for longer if the law requires it.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

• ask for a copy of your personal data;
• ask us to correct data that is wrong;
• ask us to delete your data;
• ask us to limit how we use your data;
• object to how we use your data; and
• ask for your data in a portable format, where this applies.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, please tell us first so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date at the top.
